Alkalization / EPTD

How Electric Potential Therapy Supports Health & Well-Being

What Is Alkalization (EPTD)?

Alkalization through Electric Potential Therapy (EPTD) is an innovative, non-invasive method that promotes physical and cellular health by restoring the body’s bioelectrical balance. This Japanese technology creates a high-voltage electrostatic field in the body, helping regulate pH, support detoxification, and enhance biological functions.
(Bette Jacobs et al., 2015)

Using a specialized Electric Potential Therapy Device, the treatment harnesses static electricity to improve overall well-being and activate natural healing responses.
(Genuis et al., 2011)

How EPTD Works

The human body operates through a vast network of bioelectrical signals that regulate every process—from cellular respiration to brain activity.

The EPTD device applies a static electric field, which creates a high-potential gradient across the body. This causes repolarization of cell membranes, improving ion exchange and cellular communication.
(Field, 2014)

This process results in:

  • Toxin elimination via improved ion transport
  • pH normalization toward a more alkaline state
  • Enhanced microcirculation and oxygenation of cells
  • Boosted metabolism and ATP energy production

Maintaining a slightly alkaline internal environment is crucial for healthy organ function. Chronic acidosis is associated with fatigue, inflammation, and degenerative conditions.
(Ernst, 2009)

Why pH Matters

The body’s ideal blood pH is between 7.35 – 7.45 (slightly alkaline). However, modern lifestyles—rich in stress, poor diet, pollution, and inflammation—can push the body into an acidic state, which is linked to:

  • Fatigue & low energy

  • Chronic pain & inflammation

  • Immune system suppression

  • Metabolic dysregulation

EPTD helps restore the body’s alkaline balance, supporting its natural detox and self-healing mechanisms.

Key Benefits of EPTD Therapy

  • Detoxification & Cellular Health
Facilitates ion exchange and membrane regulation, helping to eliminate waste and improve organ function.
    (Iwahashi et al., 2009)
  • Improved Metabolism & Energy
Stimulates ATP production and improves nutrient utilization at the cellular level.
    (Ernst, 2009)
  • Relief from Chronic Pain & Inflammation
Effective for arthritis, muscle tension, nerve pain, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
    (Field, 2014)
  • Nervous System Support
Enhances brainwave activity and autonomic balance, promoting better sleep and reduced stress.
    (Genuis et al., 2011)
  • Lymphatic Drainage & Fluid Retention
Supports the lymphatic system, encouraging elimination of waste and fluid balance.
    (Field, 2014)

Integration with the NMTA® Method

EPTD therapy can be a powerful complement to the NMTA® (NeuroMetabolic & Typological Analysis) programs offered at NMD Praxis.

In NMTA®, the metabolic and nutritional needs of the individual are assessed based on temperament and physiology. EPTD enhances this process by:

  • Supporting detoxification

  • Regulating the internal pH environment

  • Enhancing nutrient absorption and metabolic function

This synergy allows for highly personalized wellness plans that address the individual at multiple levels — biological, energetic, and emotional.

By integrating EPTD with NMTA®, we help the body return to balance and resilience — naturally and holistically.
(Ernst, 2009)

Conclusion

Alkalization via EPTD is a cutting-edge, safe, and natural method for promoting detoxification, restoring energetic balance, and supporting overall health.

If you’re seeking a gentle, science-based, and non-invasive way to support your body’s natural healing systems, EPTD therapy may be your ideal next step.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is EPTD therapy safe?

Yes. It’s completely non-invasive and widely used in clinical settings for detoxification and cellular function enhancement.

Yes. Many clients report relief from fatigue, inflammation, and pain — especially when integrated into a broader NMTA® protocol.

Generally no, but staying hydrated before treatment is recommended.

EPTD is not recommended for individuals with pacemakers or active implants. Always consult with a practitioner beforehand.

Some notice benefits after the first session, while others experience cumulative improvements over a series of treatments.

At NMD Praxis, all therapies are integrated within a comprehensive Metabolic Recovery Protocol, designed to provide essential and sustainable support for your health.

Accordingly, a complete metabolic assessment is required prior to initiating any therapy.

Therapies are not offered independently.

ALKALIZATION / (EPTD)

EPTD (Electric Potential Therapy Device) is a Japanese device based on the production of high voltage through static electricity.

Electrostatic potential therapy or alkalization, due to the charges’ redistribution into the cell membranes, leads to excretion of toxins and better cell function, thus contributing to body detox.

Being in a high potential field can also effectively contribute to the alleviation of headaches, constipation, stiffness (stiff joints), lymphatic decongestion, neuralgia and chronic infections. The number of treatments depends on the condition of each guest and last from 30’ to 60’ each.
